Cremona, November 14\u2014The $700.000-Added IRHA\/IRHBA\/NRHA Futurity held in Cremona, Italy, sizzled with excitement on Friday Finals day. In the Spooks Gotta Whiz IRHA\/IRHBA\/NRHA $166.400-Added 3-Year-Old Non Pro Futurity, Anna Maria Zehetbauer claimed both the Level 4 Non Pro Championship and Reserve Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the GD Performance IRHA\/IRHBA $84.864-Added 4-Year-Old Open Futurity, Enrico Sciulli and Lara Lorengo\u2019s owned and bred stallion LL Italiansdoitbtr (NRHA $13 Million Sire Wimpys Little Step x Magnum Chic N Chex) stormed to win the Level 4 Open Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Maria Zehetbauer and SS Tarzan (NRHA $4 Million Sire Pale Face Dunnit x Xtra Taris Voodoo), a gelding bred by Silver Spurs Equine and owned by Zeidelhof Reining Horses, repeated her 2024 win by scoring a 222 firmly clinching the Level (L)4 Championship. Zehetbauer didn\u2019t stop there: Scoring a 218, she also took reserve honors aboard Surprising N Smart. \u201cI\u2019m really happy with my gelding, he was super amazing,\u201d said the young Austrian rider. \u201cI didn\u2019t even run him that fast, I wanted to make him feel comfortable since he will be flying to the U.S. next week to show him in the NRHA Futurity. He was great tonight and I can\u2019t wait to show him again in OKC.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zehetbauer was just as happy with her second mount, a stallion by NRHA $9 Million Sire Smart Spook out of Just Miss Enterprise, a stallion bred by Friedrich Strobl, also owned by Zeidelhof Reining Horses. \u201cHe was also super nice and always with me; he only has about 13 months of training and this makes this result even more exciting,\u201d added Zehetbauer who shared that her results come from breaking and training her own horses, and riding with different trainers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carmela Natale and her own Guns R For Wimpy MR (Guns R For Shootin x Wimpy Custom Topstar), a stallion bred by Matese Ranch, scored a 217.5 to take the L3 Championship as well as L2 and L1 Reserve honors and third place in the L4. \u201cThis is a dream come true,\u201d said Natale. \u201cI started riding this horse when he was three, and always thought he had the winning streak. He has a great mind and is really talented. I would like to thank my husband [NRHA Professional Luca Piccolo]; without him behind us, none of this would be possible.\u201d
A half-point behind, Annalisa Solbiati and SM Walla Gunna (NRHA $5 Million Sire Walla Walla Whiz x SM Inside Gun), a mare owned and bred by Massimo Solbiati, left Cremona with the L3 Reserve Championship along with the Youth Non Pro Championship. \u201cMy mare is really good. When you go in the arena, she gives you all she has and today I had a lot of fun even though I had a review on my run so I had to wait for the final result, which put a little pressure on me, but at the end of the day, we are in the winner\u2019s circle and that fills me with joy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Reserve honors went to Martina Zeni who rode to 210.5 RZ Remedy Not Ruf (NRHA $2 Million Sire Not Raf At All x RZ Filina Whiz), a stallion owned and bred by Luca Zeni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a 218.5 score, Rebecca Padrini and Moneywood (At Andrewood x Conquistador Money), a stallion owned and bred by her, claimed both the L2 and L1 Championships. \u201cI\u2019m super proud of my horse; he did so well in all the maneuvers and was fun to show,\u201d said Padrini who grew up with horses and started riding reiners with NRHA Professional Moreno Sacchi. \u201cWhat makes me even prouder is that we bred this horse and a year ago\u2014thanks to our parents\u2019 passion\u2014we opened our own stables, we ride our own bred horses, and Moreno is our training. I think this is a great start for me and my sister [Lavinia], who has also collected titles this year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his first year after giving up his NRHA Non Pro card, Enrico Sciulli and LL Italiansdoitbtr (NRHA $13 Million Sire Wimpys Little Step x Magnum Chic N Chex), a stallion owned and bred by Lara Lorengo, performed to an impressive 224.5 to win the $57.720 Level(L) 4; $15.600 L3 and $7.800 L2 Open 4-year-old Futurity presented by GD Performance Horses. \u201cThis year was fantastic for me,\u201d said Sciulli, hot off his win. \u201cIt\u2019s my first year as an open rider and the results that came in were super. I have to give credit to my girlfriend, Lara Lorengo, who bred and owns this horse, AKA \u2018William.\u2019 He\u2019s wonderful in the show pen; tonight was with me all the way, and I have no words to describe how I feel. A special thank you goes to all my team, my special farrier Carlo Vercesi, my reining friends NRHA Professionals Nico Sicuro, Francesco Pedretti, and Mattia Nadalini who all helped me with William, and of course my family.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gagan Preet Singh, a native Indian based in Italy, and Sailinginfirstplace (NRHA $13 Million Sire Topsail Whiz x Blondandboonsmal), a stallion owned by Quarter Dream and bred by Kimberly Hernandez, scored a 221.5 to win his first major event titles: the 4-year-old $3.744-Added Level 1<\/strong> Open Championship and L3 and L2 Open Reserve Championships.
Quarter Dream\u2019s assistant trainer not only took first place honors in Cremona, he also tied for the L3 and L2 Reserve Championships and made reining history as being the only Indian NRHA Professional to win a special event! Even more thrilled was Nico Sicuro. \u201cThis is incredible and I feel amazing,\u201d said Gagan. \u201cThis is my second show with this horse, he\u2019s simply fantastic and I have only been riding him for one month, right before the NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity. I started riding with Davide Brighenti and then moved to Quarter Dream where I was offered this wonderful opportunity that resulted in these prestigious titles. Tying for the L3 and L2 Reserve Championships was Matyas Gobert and Chex N The Trash (NRHA $16 Million Sire Gunnatrashya x Snip O Chex), a stallion owned by AT Reining Dream and bred by Judy Box.
Gabriele Costantini and Mega Surprise Chic (Million Dollar Sire PS Mega Shine Chic x SGA Hot Surprise), a mare owned and bred by Mario Spada, scored a 220 earning the L1 Reserve Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alois Kompatscher and SG Lopez (NRHA $12 Million Sire Spooks Gotta Whiz x Frozen Spark), a mare owned by Diana Metrangolo and bred by Andrea Bianchini, scored a 219.5 for the Championship. Taking reserve honors with a 214.5 score was Dario Carmignani riding Spatatoo (Spatatino x Miss Dunnit Tari), a stallion he bred and owns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
