Cremona, 31 August 2026 \u2013 Following the severe storm that struck Cremona on Friday 28 August, Cremona Fiere has immediately begun restoration and safety operations across the exhibition grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The storm, accompanied by hail and exceptionally strong winds, caused significant damage to three of the four exhibition halls. Within 36 hours, the main safety operations had been completed and the removal of damaged materials and debris was already underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restoration work will continue over the coming weeks, with the objective of completing the main interventions by 30 September, allowing the exhibition halls to return to full operation and ensuring the regular delivery of events already scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SPORTING EVENTS TO GO AHEAD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the extensive damage, Cremona Fiere has confirmed its commitment to maintaining the sporting calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cutting competition<\/strong> will go ahead as scheduled, with the event beginning tomorrow. The NRHA-IRHA Maturity 2026<\/strong>, scheduled for 8\u201313 September, is also confirmed. The event will take place in a revised configuration due to the damage and the resulting force majeure conditions, while maintaining the highest possible organisational and sporting standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The autumn season will continue with the 2026 IRHA-IRHBA-NRHA Reining Futurity & Italian Championship<\/strong>, scheduled for 4\u201314 November, together with the Round Up country music event, taking place from 12\u201315 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur priority is to ensure continuity for the riders, horses, owners, breeders and everyone who has been working for months towards these events,\u201d says Giancarlo Doardo, organiser of the events at Cremona Fiere. \u201cAn exceptional weather event should not compromise a sporting season built through months of commitment and preparation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOOKING AHEAD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cremona Fiere and the TFY team are already fully focused on restoring the facilities and ensuring continuity of operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The priority remains clear: to complete the necessary work as quickly as possible and enable the scheduled events to take place safely and successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work has already begun. Cremona Fiere is moving forward, and its major equestrian events will continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
